The Egg Chair was a special design by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 for the lobby and reception area of the Royal SAS Hotel in Copenhagen. In Room 606, you can still stay in a fully furnished room with original designs by Jacobsen. It is believed that the Womb Chair by Eero Saarinen was the inspiration for the design.

A special series of the Egg Chair was produced in in 2008 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Egg Chair. It has a solid bronze base and is upholstered with a suede back and a smooth leather interior. Only 999 went on sale worldwide.
